Summary
Purpose
Grace Place is one of Calvary Lutheran Church’s partner ministries in Thunder Bay.
Grace Place volunteers serve by preparing meals and cleaning in the morning. In the afternoon (1:00-4:00pm), volunteers serve food, bus tables, wash dishes, and wash tables.
Grace Place exists to feed & clothe the poor and less fortunate, to model the love of God, to love the unlovely and ‘to preach the good news of Jesus Christ, to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and to release the prisoners from darkness.’
Isaiah 61:1

Since 1955, Camp Aurora has been planting & nurturing seeds of the Gospel for all guests – young and old – who have visited.
Camp Aurora is run by a volunteer board of directors made up of members from the 6 Thunder Bay LCC Churches. The Board meets monthly to discuss the direction of Camp Aurora and progress of maintenance, public relations, hiring, training, etc.
The Camp Aurora Board consists of sub-committees (Kitchen, Property & Maintenance, Public Relations, Registrar, and Fundraising) that ensure significant tasks determined by the Board are accomplished.
The Summer Season includes the following camp sessions: Little Lambs (ages 4-8), Children’s Camp (ages 7-12) and Youth Camp (ages 11-16).
Camp Aurora exists to provide young people with the Christian life skills that will empower, strengthen, and give them boldness that accompanies the assurance that Jesus Christ is Lord.

The Quilters Group meets every Thursday morning from September to May. We come together for fellowship and care for others.
The group works together to create beautiful quilts which are donated to local agencies, as well as less fortunate countries such as Zimbabwe and Cuba.
Some ladies also create warm hats, mitts and scarves for the less fortunate.
To provide warmth and
love to those
in need.
Donate sheets (used or new) and fabric.
Join the group to help create; no experience is required and everyone is welcome.
