Just like within any family, to keep a healthy home there are chores that are needed to be done. Everyone must pitch in to help keep the home in good shape and a welcome environment for visitors. This page is dedicated to those chores that are in need to be done. Check back often to see what you can do to help keep Calvary's Family healthy.

Street Reach

Lutheran Community Care Centre sponsors a ministry 'store front' on Simpson St. with the motto "It doesn't matter who you are, what you've done, or where you've been; you are welcome here!!!" painted on the wall for all to see. The 'Street Reach' mission is open 3 nights a week, and on Saturday afternoons and is always looking for volunteers. Each volunteer comes with his or her own unique gift to share in this special place. Some volunteers have the gift of cleaning and organizing; others will have the gift of chatting, compassion, and spiritual guidance; another will teach the young people about Jesus; some come and sit awhile to talk and play cards with whoever wanders in; others make sure the coffee is always fresh and hot. Your special 'gift' from God is also needed in this place. Volunteers can spend an hour or two; others might be regulars every week; some may come only once a year. The possibilities are endless and the need is great!

Calvary's Nursery

The Calvary Nursery is almost ready to go! The nursery will be available Sunday mornings during Sunday School and the 11am worship service for babies and toddlers 2 and under!

Thanks to the Trustees and God’s Men for all of their help in getting the room cleaned out and painted! The room is now in the process of being furnished and readied for the little ones! All that is needed now is volunteers to help with childcare!

If you are interested in volunteering with childcare please contact Shelly Van Voort at 577-4587 or cor129@shaw.ca. We are looking for ladies to help with childcare on a rotating basis (once every 4-8 weeks) during the 11am worship service as well as several ladies who would be available as backup during the Sunday School and/or 11am worship service. If you can help in either capacity please contact Shelly ASAP. We would like to be able to open the nursery as soon as possible! Download Form
